PW Blanket Offering

Do you know a way to send a hug to people all around the world?

When war has torn your world apart, and your immediate wish for your children is a warm place to sleep, a Church World Service $5 Blanket is something to hold onto, along with the hope for a better tomorrow.
When your home has been washed away by torrential rains, and a barren hillside offers the only shelter from the howling wind, a blanket is something to hold onto, along with the hope for brighter days ahead.
Hope never dies.  But sometimes it needs a little help.  Your $5 donation will provide comfort and warmth, something to hold onto along with hope.  Blankets are shipped here in America and worldwide.

PW Birthday Offering

The year 2001 is the 89th anniversary of the Women's Auxiliary of the Presbyterian Church in the United States.  Over time their name has changed, but their mission remained the same..to help those less fortunate than themselves by giving over and beyond their local church commitments to a fund fondly referred to as the "Birthday Offering."
In 1922, when the fund originated, members were challenged to contribute one penny for every year of their life.  Since that time, needs and their costs escalated.  Recipients are recommended by the Creative Ministries Council who very carefully choose from grant applications.

Thank Offering

We give thanks for God's many blessings to us.  At least 40% of the Thank Offering is allocated for health ministries which are sent to hospitals and community health programs in. this country and overseas.
The remainder of the offering is used to fund proposals that deal with issues such as child care, the elderly, violence, hopelessness, and injustice.  The Creative Ministries Ofering Committee is responsible for making decisions on grant applications.
In 1887, women were encouraged to give $1 above usual contribution as "a thank offering the Lord."
